Suggestions, Please?

Hello! This blog will be mostly link lists (which will be added to and cleaned up frequently), with posts about upcoming events and the occasional review if someplace makes a big impression. I hope this site provides ideas for both visitors and restless Puget Sounders. Please oh please let me know of any great restaurants/ clubs/ shows/ events etc. I'll check comments frequently and add those suggestions to the links. Now let's go explore this beautiful region!

P.S. - You do not need to sign in to post a comment. Just click "anonymous", but it'd be nice if you sign your name at the bottom. :-)

I love your new blog...great idea! We have been doing LOTS of fun things this summer since Faith is old enough to appreciate seeing and doing new things. Visting the zoo alot (we're members now...such a good deal!!) and we just went to the Aquarium (ugh...expensive, crowded, and not very impressive). Do you have any places you've come accross that would be kid-friendly and fun? Oh also, I think the dinner train is no longer. I heard it stopped at the end of July. We were gonna do it for our anniversay but its in August. I could be wrong, you might wanna check it out. :0)

I was actually brainstorming about family-friendly activities yesterday! I'll get on it. :-) I checked the dinner train website - it looks like they're still going. http://www.spiritofwashingtondinnertrain.com/eventscalendar.cfm

:-)

I just heard about a couple festivals coming up too - updates to come!

I am SO mad about this whole "dinner train" thing. I wanted to go on it soooo bad for our anniversary but when I checked the website awhile back it said it was closing due to a conflict in contract with the railways...or something like that. Man, oh well...instead we opted to go to dinner at this restaurant in the Market called El Bistro...its suppose to be ultra romantic, old-Italian cusine with reasonable prices. I'll let you know... :0)

I've heard of El Bistro, but never been there. Let me know how you like it! I have no restaurants listed yet (Matt and I are not exactly "foodies") but I'd really like to have that resource here too.

I went to the world's worst bar last Saturday. Trying to decide whether to figure out what the name was and post about it... I did say I would try not to be catty anymore, even if it's funny...

I think you should post about it...there is nothing wrong with the truth...if put in a nice way. :0) Have you ever been to that bar that serves a million differnt kinds of martinis? I would LOVE LOVE to go there....I have a serious addiction to yummy martinis!! ;0)

That's true. And it is my civic duty to make sure no one else ever gets stuck there. ;-)

Are you talking about Tini Biggs? I've been wanting to go there for years! I'm a sucker for a fabulous martini, too. We should go, and make the boys be designated drivers. ;-)

LOVE all your new helpful posts!! We LOVED LOVED Il Bistro sooo much, it's nice trying new places and having fun in Seattle. :) YES!!--Tini Biggs! I want to go there so bad...I've been trying to plan a trip there forever! Sounds good to me...Justin's not much of a drinker anyway. :0)
PS if you try Il Bistro order the Pear/Gorganzola (spell?) Ravioli...delish x 10000 !!
